To be called “mommy” by these sweet girls is the answer to my lifelong prayers. 💖
But with that name comes great responsibility. I am to raise women. God fearing, family devoted, driven, selfless, confident women. Regardless the circumstances, this is my job.
They don’t know that the sunglasses hide dark circles from working overnight shifts to support them…..They see a happy mom wearing sunglasses and enjoying the sunshine! ☀️
They don’t know that I had not left the house (other than to work) in weeks due to car issues/struggling to find car seats to fit the other working vehicle…..They just giggle because they have fun, new pink car seats! 💗
Or that I sometimes get groceries/diapers at 3am when I get off work because that’s when I have childcare….Their needs are just always met! ♥️
They don’t know whether I have tons of support to help me be a better mom to them…..or if I am completely alone in this day in and day out…..Nor should they.
All they know is that I am their happy, smiling, fun “mommy” that provides, listens, shows up, worries, cares, and loves with all of my heart ….
Every minute of every day…
No matter how tired, overwhelmed, or whatever fill-in-the-blank complaint I have..
Because it is my job. My honor. My undeserved gift. And my greatest blessing to be granted this opportunity to raise successful women and to be called their “mommy”. 💗
